SCHNITZEL MOUNTAINS

Day 1 ... Arrive in Vienna mid-morning. Head for your hotel - Do & Co, the best location in the city & drop your bags.  Vienna has lots to offer - but it would be a shame to miss the masterpieces by Schiele and Klimt !  Finish the day with what you’ve always wanted - a legit Wiener Schnitzel and an official slice of Sacher Torte in its namesake café.
Day 2 .. Wake up in Vienna and enjoy coffee in one of the most famous coffee houses in Austria.  After a mid morning stroll through the inner city - jump in your rental car and head for Hallstatt, the most beautiful lake in the Alps!  You’ve got time for an afternoon hike and then dinner lakeside in the village.  For 2 nights, you’re staying lakefront in the Hallstatt Hideaway :)
Day 3 .. Today is open for a full day hike.  Up the mountain to Simony Hut could be a bad ass idea!  It’s known as one of the best hikes in the Salzkammergut in the Dachstein region.
Day 4 .. Theres no rush to get out the door - but today we’re off to the Northern Italian Dolomites :)    Let’s stop shortly after crossing the border for a 90 minute circuit around Lago di Braies.  We should arrive into Corvara in the late afternoon - checking into Hotel La Perla, clasped by the majestic ring of the Sella massif.
Day 5 .. A full day hike ... There are so many amazing options - perhaps down from Lagazuoi to Rifugio Scotoni, famous across the Dolomites for having the best mountain food.  Or a mountain stroll on a grassy high plateau surrounded completely by gnarly granite.  Don’t forget Shommy, he loves the mountains :)
Day 6 .. We really do NOT want to leave ... but no shit, we’re heading to Venice for lunch.  Make a short list of sites to see - and don’t be in a hurry.  The best parts of the city are experienced without rush - it’s sooo ok to get lost here, perhaps it even helps us to avoid the crowds - coz we hate people 😬  Two nights in Palazzo Cristo .. people say it’s fit for a Doge in the digital age....seems pretty nahc to me!
Day 8 .. Morning flight home ... arrive mid afternoon.... all done :(
